Around this time every year the same questions arises about our country, it's history and it's flag.
Australia Day! With the sun beaming, the smell of a bbq as you walk down a suburban street and the sound of mates getting together having a great time. On the TV clips with crowds of people draped with flags, stamped with fake Australia flag tattoos, and all sorts of merchandise; hats, thongs, t-shirts, all with the familiar blue white and red flag with the union jack and the southern cross. Everyone of those people showing pride for there country...and the opportunity to get a spot on TV maybe.

So because we are now in the 21st century, and the union jack and southern cross are looking a bit dated, is this reason to change the flag...even if we became a republic, should this be reason to change our flag?
