ok, I was going to stay out of it, but when an issue goes on and on, and back and forth, you finally have to have your say.
Retouch or not to retouch, and the debate about what size models we should be showing in our magazines.
With the latest being Ricki-lee posing for the Women's Day, stating she prefers her curves to Jennifer Hawkins slender frame.
Should we be showing slender women like our Jen or representing the average size women, which according to Ricky Lee is size 14.
Sure lets represent the average size women, in her plus size, but what I want to know, is this a healthy size? We argue about showing the really skinny models as this can lead to eating disorders, yet are our plus size women considered overweight, and will this then lead to over eating? Isn't obesity already a rising issue in our society? Which is evident with programs like The Biggest Loser becoming popular...do we want women aspiring to be over weight....
